A revamped suite of live sports streaming apps is part of Telstra’s bid to get an edge in an increasingly competitive live mobile streaming market. Redesigned versions of AFL, NRL and netball apps are part of the live sports streaming makeover, which was launched by the Australian telecommunications giant earlier this month. Yet, the biggest win for Telstra’s 16 million mobile customers is that they will be able to watch every match live from each competition without incurring mobile data charges.

Tech and media giant Yahoo is expanding its live sports offering by streaming MLB and NHL matches through the revamped Yahoo Sports mobile app. Available to both iPhone and Android users, the completely redesigned app offers access to hundreds of live streams of the world’s premier baseball and ice hockey competitions.
In addition to a live match-of-the-day feed, MLB connoisseurs will be given a live streaming guide with access to additional games. That way, Yahoo says, baseball fans will no longer have to scour the internet trying to find the game they want to watch. If you've wagered on either a baseball or hockey game, you now also watch all the action unfold on your tablet or smartphone. |
